Anime Picker ("we", "us", the "site") is a free tool for browsing and filtering anime recommendations. This policy explains what data the site touches when you use it, in plain language.

The short version

Anime Picker doesn't have user accounts, doesn't ask you to sign up, and doesn't require any personal information to use the picker, the filters, or the wheel. There's nothing to leak because there's nothing collected beyond what's described below.

What's stored on your device

The only piece of data Anime Picker deliberately stores is your light/dark theme preference, saved in your browser's localStorage when you toggle the theme switch in the header. It stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Server & hosting logs

Like virtually every website, the infrastructure that serves Anime Picker (our hosting provider and CDN) automatically logs standard technical data for security and reliability purposes — things like IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. We don't access this data for tracking or profiling; it exists at the infrastructure level and rolls off on the provider's normal retention schedule.

Cookies

Anime Picker does not set tracking or advertising cookies. If we ever add privacy-respecting analytics or on-site advertising in the future, this policy will be updated first, and any such addition will avoid cross-site tracking wherever possible.

Third-party links

Anime titles and recommendations may link out to third-party streaming or information sites. Once you leave animepicker.com, that site's own privacy policy applies — we have no control over, and no visibility into, how third parties handle your data.

Children's privacy

Anime Picker does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no personal information is collected in the first place, this is true by design rather than by active filtering.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what data is collected or how it's used, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
